As a little girl, I loved to make poppy flower wreaths. I remember, when I was a child, during the summer, my parents took me to our cottage far away from the noisy city. In the village, there was real freedom, clean air, birds sang louder and the stars were brighter! There, in the fields of boundless and endless, there they were; poppy flowers, they bloomed among wheat and rye in orchards. My friends and I collected them in large quantities and made wreaths. The poppy flowers faded quickly, but they were so beautiful! My mother grew poppies in our garden. In early autumn, she collected poppy seed pods, dried them on the stove and baked pies with poppy seeds. It was amazing to come to the village in the summer. After all, there was no such air in the city, there was no such nature and such beautiful flowers.
Time passes, things change, but memories never fade. They always stay in our hearts. Now, when I bake poppy seeds pies for my children, I remember my childhood. I regret that my children cannot spend time in the village as I did. But when summer comes, and I see poppy flowers, my heart sings and smiles! Life is Beautiful!
